Roy Sirengo is an environmental professional based in New York City who is personally and professionally committed to sustainability. With 8 years of experience in the environmental industry, he believes that a collaborative movement of broad-based citizen participation and corporate social responsibility is the key to ushering in a greener future. In 1998, Roy wrote and produced an Environmental Arts Musical, that involved artists, academics, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and citizens, to raise awareness and funds for a public green space. The project garnered the attention of World Bank leaders, who were meeting to formulate India's future environmental policy. Roy continues to capitalize on the unique ability of the arts to make environmental science more engaging and accessible to broader audiences. Roy holds an M. E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. His research interests include recovery of phosphorus containing compounds in waste streams.
